Here’s what I’ve loved in crochet this week…

Lisa Doherty
has always got interesting projects on the go that use a combination of different forms of crochet and knitting…

In her latest issue, she discussed a project that used rug hooking and crochet which was something I’d never seen before!

This is an engaging read by

Kathryn Vercillo
about a great-granddaughter’s perspective of her great grandmother’s collection of crocheted dioramas which depicted her life through much of the 20th century.

And now… onwards to your weekly What To Crochet Next issue!

This week’s crochet ideas you can't miss…

Crochet favorite.

Lisa Doherty
’s asymmetrical triangle shaped shawl/wrap that can be made with any yarn and crocheted to any size.

Work the edging to finish the shawl when it gets as big as it needs to be.

Ester.

The scooped front and back hemline on the Ester sweater is flattering.

The yoke section uses a lace stitch to create interest. The body and sleeves are rows of simple stitches which are easy to do.

Full of emotions.

My youngest son recently saw the sequel for the movie Inside Out and loved it.

Juli Anne of

The Cheerio Club
has created Amigurimis for Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger, and Fear from the first movie. They’re just gorgeous!

Bountiful harvest.

The bobbles and leaf motif yoke are the inspiration for the naming of this sweater. The textured stitch body and sleeves compliments the yoke design.

Designer Vita of Mon Petit Violon suggests merino wool as she finds it soft and stretchy and works beautifully with this design.
